 UK Tour

“I did the optimize seminar in 2007 and couldn’t wait to get back into my suite the next day to try out some new stuff. When I heard he was touring the UK again, I immediately signed up for Mastering. Larry’s style is a perfect blend of key information with a fun delivery style…it works for me and then there’s the goody bag!” – R.K.

“Just wanted to say thanks for the seminar today in London. I found it very helpful, especially Larry’s Shortcuts…very handy indeed!” – E.G.

“Thank you so much for a highly educational and enjoyable day in London this week for the Mastering Final Cut Studio seminar. I left feeling more positive than ever that I will be able to finally achieve some of the ideas I have for editing into a finished project.” – S.M.

“You really made everything so simple and I was straight onto Motion once I was home to practice all that I have learned. You have demystified, for me, the scariest application in the FCP Studio package.” – S.M.

“Just a quick thanks for a wonderful presentation yesterday. My students, from Perth College, really enjoyed it and appreciate the amount of work involved in making such a performance. Once again, many thanks.” – P.D.

“Just a note to say how much I enjoyed your seminar in Glasgow. As I mentioned at the time, the significance of all you explained takes a while to disseminate in my ancient brain – but it gets there eventually and I am now thoroughly enjoying experimenting with what I learned.” – N.M.

“As you may be aware, during his recent tour of the UK with his PowerUP seminars, Larry Jordan took a day out of his schedule to hold an event at the new BBC building in Glasgow for students. Some 60 students and staff from around Scotland attended and had a ball. Larry had then under his spell and they took a lot from it. It was a great event.” – D.S.

“As a non-editing user (engineer), a general grounding is invaluable, without spending too much time on ‘power user’ tips I’d rarely encounter.” – M.W.

“Definitely attend. You will not be disappointed!” – R.L.

“This course will give you the ideal opportunity to define your knowledge of Final Cut/Motion, etc.” – M.A.

“I will now leave with confidence to approach Sountrack Pro 2, Motion, etc., and develop my editing skills.” – M.A.

“Prepare to learn and make many notes. Go armed with questions you’ve always wanted answered.” – C.R.

“Big recommendation! I’ve returned to do another seminar – Larry’s teaching style and tops work for me!” – R.K.

“Go for it! Most instructive four hours I’ve spent in a classroom!” – S.G.

“It is definitely worth going if you feel you are stagnated in learning FCP.” – T.B.

“Heartily recommended!” – B.H.

“Go. You’re bound to learn more than you thought even if you think you’re experienced.” – N.G.

“Utterly recommended!” – B.H.

“An absolute must. Authoritative!” – L.H.

“Larry Jordan knows his stuff. Often with courses, you ask a question and it is deferred to an email answer later. With Larry, all you do is ask – and though he may think on it – he always has an answer.” – T.B.

“If you missed a chance to attend his seminar, you could have just cost yourself a future career promotion.” – S.M.

Comments from Students and Past Seminar Attendees

"Very worthwhile and highly recommended -- will totally change my editing efficiency... Learned a lot of tricks and helped me understand what to do, when, and why."
- Jennie (6/2007)

"[The seminars are] required/mandatory/a 'must'!"
-Donna (6/2007)

"Take it -- Larry is captivating and an educational speaker"
-Jim (6/2007)

"From his opening dialogue outlining the course material, Larry's delivery was beyond exceptional. Having spent many years performing in various corporate public speaking capacities, I know the challenges of training people on software technology mixed with hardware education. Larry's approach was flawless. He is articulate, creative in his approach and uniquely animated, making the content understandable, easy to follow and a lot of fun.
Larry is a technical encyclopedia. His ability to recall very specific technical data: equipment make and model, specific media format settings coupled with his teaching gift - being able to bring it all together and make sense of it is utterly astonishing.
Larry is not only a FCP master, but a gem in the industry we should all treasure. If you are considering investing money to learn FCP, do not choose anyone other than Larry Jordan. You will always get more for your money choosing Larry."
- Phillip (4/2007)

Larry - You are one of the best [teachers] that I have "observed". Your way of personal presentation is without "airs". You are very low key and yet you intelligently present the lesson plans as to give something to most everyone that is wanting to learn...
You have advanced my abilities in video post production more than words can say. For that I say thank-you...from all of us that look to you as our sensei.
--T.P. (1/2007)

"I came to your class not knowing what to expect. I knew that I'd been able to get something useful out of every one of your monthly Final Cut Pro newsletters, and that's what prompted me to attend. And although I consider myself extremely proficient on FCP, I thought maybe I'd get a few tips from the class. Little did I know!

"I came away from every section of the session with new insights and inspiration. Thanks for an exceptionally productive and useful day!"
-- S.R., Atlanta

As a fairly new user of FCP, one thing I really like is the way you "tell it like it is". Honest, direct and complete. I get the "who, what, when, where and why" in almost everything you publish. You give me straight answers, in a factual manner, that's easily digested (for a new user like myself) and you've made it easier to make sense of FCP and a lot of it's many related programs. You make the rounds, rub shoulders with the people and software "I" want to know about, and put it into a newsletter to me. Very cool! If you don't know something or your not sure...you say so. I respect that. If you say wait... I do. I value you opinion and look forward to each newsletter. You've gained my trust.
-- S.W., Burbank

I was in the front row of your workshop this weekend. What a great time, everyone received individual attention and we are all better prepared to meet FCP on "our" terms. I'm so glad that I attended.
-- T.B., Westwood

"Larry is a great instructor and one of the best things about him is that he is always on his game, and keeps the class moving with lots of humor."
-- D.J., Burbank

"You know the old saying: I'm from Kansas -- show me." This seminar has paid for itself in productivity.
-- G.F., Santa Monica

I enjoy the just plain talk and the humor. Humor is good when you are trying to really learn something. It puts things in perspective. One of the strongest points of your book is that once you go through reading and doing something you tell the reader when you use that feature or principle and how often. This is just great. I can honestly say that you have taught me some great stuff on how to edit. It is just what I wanted. I have been doing some things the hard way. My mind has been running free thinking of all sorts of things I could do better.
-- R.R., Burbank

This seminar is just wonderful! You didn't speak down to us, didn't go off on tangents, it was lovely! I've rarely been at ones of these that wasn't too basic or went way too deep into computer-speak. And it was entertaining!
-- J.F., Chicago

Larry knows too much about everything!
